Effective from 30 July 2026.
1. Withdrawal right
A consumer may withdraw from a distance contract without reason within 14 days. The period normally runs from receipt by the consumer or a designated person; for separate deliveries, from receipt of the last item, lot or part.
2. Notice
Before expiry, send an unambiguous notice to SIA “BRT”, Ķengaraga iela 4, Rīga, LV-1063, Latvia, info@brt.lv. State the order, product, receipt date, name and contacts.
3. Return and costs
Send or deliver the goods to the same address without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notice. Contact us before sending heavy or oversized goods. For ordinary withdrawal, direct return costs are borne by the consumer. If goods are damaged, incorrectly supplied or non-conforming, reasonable costs are borne by SIA “BRT”.
4. Refund
We refund payments, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery, no later than 14 days after notice. Extra cost of a more expensive method is not refunded. We may withhold refund until receipt of the goods or evidence of dispatch. The original payment method is used unless agreed otherwise.
5. Condition
The consumer is liable for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect nature, characteristics and functioning. Keeping packaging and accessories is recommended, but missing packaging alone does not automatically remove the right.
6. Exceptions
The right does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised, including where applicable individually manufactured or non-standard cut goods. Other statutory exceptions also apply. An applicable exception is stated before confirmation.
7. Non-conforming goods
SIA “BRT” is liable for lack of conformity existing at delivery and becoming apparent within two years. A consumer may claim within two years and must do so no later than two months after discovery. State the order, product, problem, date and preferred remedy; include photographs or evidence.
The first remedies are repair or replacement free of charge where possible and proportionate. Where provided by law, a price reduction or cancellation and refund may be requested.
8. B2B purchases
Returns and claims by companies and persons acting in a business capacity are handled under the contract, quotation, manufacturer warranty and Latvian civil law. The consumer 14-day right does not automatically apply.
